Mission Statement

The mission of Elsinore Valley Regional Pony Baseball is to teach the fundamentals of the game of baseball, life skills through competition, teamwork and sportsmanship, and to provide these teachings in an environment that is safe and fun for the children. EVRPB provides baseball divisions for all skill levels for ages 3 years old to 15. We will treat every player, parent, spectator, umpire and coach fairly. Everyone involved at Elsinore Regional Valley Pony Baseball is expected to adhere to a Code of Conduct that promotes the well-being and safe and healthy atmosphere for all. Our local rules are focused on making this a positive experience for ALL of our children whether they aspire to play in the major leagues or simply want a place to play and enjoy youth sports with their friends and family. We work hard to select coaches that not only know baseball, but are truly focused on the development and enjoyment of EACH player on their roster. Our generous “minimum play” rules help Elsinore Valley Regional Baseball lead the way in giving all of the children of our community a chance to shine.

Mike Norkin
Interim President
Elsinore Valley Regional PONY League

Mike Norkin brings nearly three decades of leadership, coaching excellence, and community service to his role as Interim President of the Elsinore Valley Regional PONY League.

A lifelong advocate for youth athletics, Mike has dedicated his career to creating positive, competitive, and character-building experiences for young athletes. He previously served as President of Lake Elsinore Girls Softball, where he successfully grew the organization by emphasizing player development, coach education, volunteer engagement, and strong partnerships with families throughout the community.

Mike's coaching experience spans every level of youth softball, from recreational programs to elite travel competition. His teams have consistently achieved success while maintaining a commitment to sportsmanship and player development. In 2022, he led his 10U team to the USA Softball Regional Championship, finishing the season with an undefeated 19-0 record. In 2024, he served as an Assistant Coach for the Israel 13U National Softball Team, helping guide the team to an undefeated European Championship.

Beyond coaching, Mike has built an impressive career as a respected softball official. He served for nearly 15 years as a CIF softball umpire, officiating numerous playoff and championship contests before becoming a CIF Umpire Instructor, where he mentored and trained the next generation of high school officials.

Professionally, Mike is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Cherished Memories Photography, one of Southern California's premier school photography companies. His leadership extends well beyond business and athletics through more than 20 years of dedicated service with Rotary International. As a longtime Rotary leader, he has played an active role in developing future community leaders through the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program.

As Interim President of the Elsinore Valley Regional PONY League, Mike is committed to building an organization founded on player development, sportsmanship, integrity, and community partnership. His vision is to create an exceptional baseball experience where every child has the opportunity to learn the game, build confidence, develop lifelong friendships, and create lasting memories both on and off the field.

Under Mike's leadership, Elsinore Valley Regional PONY is committed to becoming the premier youth baseball organization in the region by providing outstanding instruction, quality competition, and a safe, family-centered environment where young athletes can thrive.
